OC Pride Board Member Application

Thank you for your interest in joining the Orange County LGBT Pride Board of Directors. We are seeking passionate, community-focused individuals ready to help lead OC Pride as we plan for our 2026 Pride Festival & Parade and expand our year-round Pride 365 programming.

OC Pride is a volunteer working board, meaning our Directors and Community Board Members actively participate in event production, sponsorship development, and community engagement throughout the year.

Each director must have contributed significantly to the organization, must believe without reservation in the purposes of the organization, and must have attended and fully participated in at least one official event of the corporation. In addition, the Nominating Committee shall take into consideration the following when selecting candidates for election to the Board:

1. The skills, talents, resources, and other needs for governance of the organization;

2. The diversity of the board for age, race, disability, gender, sexual orientation, religion (including non-religious persons), socio-economic status, education, occupation, and other characteristics that shape a person’s perspective, outlook, experience, and opinion; and

3. The mission of Orange County LGBT Pride.

Board Expectations

All Board Members Are Expected To:

  • Attend monthly board meetings

  • Actively participate in at least one committee or working group

  • Support OC Pride events and initiatives throughout the year

  • Complete additional duties as assigned

Director-Level Board Members Also:

  • Lead a committee (Operations, Marketing, Parades, Philanthropy, Outreach, or Event Programming)

  • Contribute an average of 5–10 volunteer hours per month, increasing as the festival approaches

Annual Give-or-Get Philanthropic Contribution

All OC Pride Board Members — Directors and Community Board Members — must fulfill an annual:

$1,000 give-or-get philanthropic contribution, satisfied ONLY through:

  • Personal donation, or

  • Sponsorship procurement, or

  • Fundraising, or

  • Donor procurement
