Light the Mic - Pride Edition

The Fullerton Museum Center’s Light the Mic Downtown Art Walk event will be Pride themed for Pride Month! It will be hosted by Jarli Riveria.
There will still be an open mic portion.
This event is free to attend. Doors open at 6:45pm
About the Host - Jarli Rivera is a local artist dedicated to supporting diy music and art scenes. They hope to inspire people to create more than consume, and advocate for new original performance spaces that challenge people to grow. Their current practice at brain and body music studio is in community creative arts healing. when they are not mentoring young musicians; they spend their time swimming, practicing archery, or reading near a tree.
About the Poet Feature - Summertime Jazz (she/her)is a Lesbian-American Party Poet writing nightlife energy, dance floor romance, and dramatic humor into every piece. Her work’s been featured in zines like Ill Anthology, Walang Hiya Zine, and Chismosa The Zine. She’s an active creative community member and hosts the Arvida Open Mic every last Saturday of the month and will be volunteering as MC at Sol Do, Orange County’s only free creative arts festival, August 2nd.
