About OC Pride’s First Parade

On Saturday, June 25th, 2016 we had our first OC Pride Parade in downtown Santa Ana, reintroducing the Pride Parade that hadn’t been seen for over a decade when the Orange County Community took to the streets and marched for equality. Our theme was “LIVE YOUR LIFE!” and it couldn’t have been more relevant for the time. Pride is something we all can’t help but feel as a supporter of the vibrant LGBT community. Inspired by the exciting changes, milestones and accomplishments in the name of LGBT rights, we decided to transform those feelings of admiration, gratitude and happiness into something visual. Something creative. Something colorful. Something that vividly flaunts what it is we all feel inside!

Flags

Last year was our 8th annual event in Orange County and marked our 5th Anniversary in Downtown Santa Ana. Our location gives us access to markets in both Los Angeles and San Diego. Growing our event from 3,000 attendees in 2011 to over 22,000 in 2016; we are confident that our exponential growth of both the Pride Festival and Pride Parade will continue to grow as our celebration of the dreams, love, and hope of the LGBT community become “As One.”
