2016 OC Pride Week Announcement!
It’s officially 2016 and we are happy to announce the information for 2016 OC Pride Week!
After much consideration and feedback from the community, the 2016 OC Pride Week will take place during the nationally recognized LGBT Pride Month of June! This date change is also in recognition of the 47th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, the New York events that inspired the very first Pride Festivals. OC Pride Week will begin on June 19 and culminate with the OC Pride Festival on June 25, 2016 in Downtown Santa Ana.
This year’s 2016 OC Pride Week theme is simply “Live Your Life!” It is OC Pride’s goal and mission to unify the community and help create a world where people are inspired to live the life they want freely and proud. Keep a lookout for the locations of the OC Pride Week events to be revealed in the next couple months!
The Main Stage for the OC Pride Festival will once again take place at the exquisite Yost Theater, and this year headlining the entertainment line-up is openly gay hunky hearthrob, the “All-American Boy” himself: Steve Grand! Steve will take over the OC Pride Main Stage at 7pm.
This is also a big year as we are launching the first ever OC Pride Parade! The parade will take place along the streets of Downtown Santa Ana leading to and ending right at the Festival Site on June 25, 2016.
This is going to be our biggest year yet and now is the time to get involved! Sponsorship, Entertainment and Volunteer opportunities are available. Apply using the forms available at www.prideoc.com or email email@example.com for more information.Posted on January 25, 2016 in Parades, Press, Pride 2016, Volunteers
